I really, really, really, hate snow...

...yet i still live in New England. I know, I'm a glutton for punishment.

20 inches of frozen hell is currently falling over the area, so I am at Job #1 until it stops snowing, which the weather people say will probably be tomorrow night.

Tomorrow freaking night.

Which means I get to be at work for 24+ hours with no breaks,

THUPER!

So much for gymming it today. Or tomorrow.

Gah.

So what is "Operation Sparkle Shorts"??

My trainer and I made a bet: he thinks he can get me down two weight classes - to 165 pounds - by May 1, 2011. I weighed 219 pounds the last week in November 2010, when we dreamed this plan up.

[EDIT: My trainer's trainer decided that 165 is a crazy goal - she said I would be way anorexic and not strong enough to fight, so we have set our sights upon the next weight class, which is 178. It's only a one weight class difference, so it should be attainable!]

Why is it called Operation Sparkle Shorts, you ask?

Some of the people from the boxing gym were out at a restaurant one night, and we ran into someone that one person knew. She was a very nice, incredibly fit woman, and she was wearing this oh so tiny pair of sparkley shorts.

I commented about how shiny they are (shiny is my favorite color, after all) and how if I had a body like hers, I'd probably wear sparkle shorts too! After a fit of giggles from the entire table, the bet was formulated.

The stakes? If I succeed in getting my weight down to 165 [178] by May 1, 2011, I've promised to get a pair of sparkle shorts tattooed...on my butt!

High stakes, but at 165 [178] I would be an awesome derby skater, and an even better boxer!
